PomoEase ("we," "us") is a Pomodoro focus timer with workout breaks, available at pomoease.com. This page explains what data the site uses and why.
If you create an account, your username, password (as a secure one-way hash, never in plain text), display name, profile picture, focus/workout history, and settings are stored locally in your browser. Your study intention, if you set one on the welcome screen, is kept only for your current browsing session. Account data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
If you choose to use the co-working ("Study Together") feature, some information is shared through our real-time database (Google Firebase) so that other participants can see it: your chosen nickname, profile picture or avatar emoji, the title of the task you have selected (if any), your timer status, and any chat messages you send. Only people who have the session code can see this information. Please don't share sensitive personal information in session chats. Session data may persist in the database after the session ends.
This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, which may be based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you may be shown a consent message before personalised ads are served, in line with applicable law.
We use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic to the site — things like how many people visit, which pages are most used, and general trends. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally. Google Analytics uses cookies to gather this information; you can opt out via Google's Analytics Opt-out or by using your browser's do-not-track settings.
PomoEase is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the site, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect the most recent version. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
You can clear your locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for pomoease.com, or by using the in-app options to reset your statistics or sign out.
